our philosophy

In our view, coaching requires a comprehensive view of the individual.  By embracing the entire picture of work, career development, values, and personal/family needs, we work together to better manage the inevitable conflicts or distractions that arise.

We believe everyone has unique strengths and abilities.  Uncovering these strengths and then maximizing them can create extraordinary results and a greater sense of fulfillment.  The Ranson Group believes that creating a vision and tapping into the future is a very powerful catalyst for living a purposeful life.

The Ranson Group’s basic coaching tenets can be summarized in the following key statements:

  • coaching puts the client’s agenda first and foremost
  • coaching recognizes that the primary reason people come to coaching is to make things different and create positive change
  • coaching is a powerful, collaborative relationship for individuals/organizations making important changes towards achieving desired goals
  • coaching is about listening, without making judgments
  • coaching is about moving forward and holding people accountable to their goals
  • coaching is a powerful structure to help people focus on specific outcomes and to stay on track
  • coaching encompasses big picture thinking, creates specific action plans, and is an integrated approach that recognizes people need balance
  • coaching assumes people are creative and resourceful and have the answers within themselves
