The principal of The Ranson Group, Sharon Ranson, MBA, CA, is an executive coach who helps successful business people zero in on what is most important to them in their professional and personal lives. Sharon acts as a catalyst in helping her clients define and take action towards achieving their goals.
Sharon transitioned to her role as a professional coach after 20+ years in the financial services industry as a highly respected portfolio manager and managing director of a major investment dealer. Sharon brings a wealth of hands-on corporate and entrepreneurial experience to her coaching practice, having worked in both small and large organizations in a variety of roles, including senior executive and partner.
Sharon completed an MBA in finance at York University, received a BComm from Queens University, and is a Chartered Accountant. She was licensed by the Ontario Securities Commission as a Registered Representative, Director, and Portfolio Manager. She completed her professional training from The Coaches Training Institute and is a member of the International Coaches Federation. She participated in the Strategic Coach program for two years. Sharon currently sits on the Board of Directors of a Canadian chartered bank and is also a Board member of Integra, a non-profit organization serving children with learning disabilities.
Sharon lives in Toronto with her husband Steve and their two children, Tom and Maggie. The family enjoys their summer vacations at their cottage on Georgian Bay and spend winter weekends together skiing in Collingwood.
